Community Action Week
Every year, Microsoft Licensing, GP hosts a Community Action Week where employees are encouraged to participate in a variety of organized volunteer activities.
Giving back to the community in which we live and work is at the core of Microsoft’s philosophy and something our employees are committed to and look forward to throughout the year.
The 2011 Community Action week was held May 16 – 20. Volunteer activities included:
- SPCA of Northern Nevada – Assisting with their office move
- Desert Heights Elementary – Organic gardening with students
- Bailey Charter School – Mentoring students and showcasing templates that can be leveraged in the classroom
- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada – Hosting “Lunch with the Little”
- Sierra View Elementary – Campus clean-up
- Anderson Elementary – Library book inventory
- Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows – Playground clean-up
- Washoe County Library Book Drive – on-site and at the Aces Ballpark
